Angela Kay Merritt, 54 of Waverly passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024 at SOMC Hospice Center in Portsmouth.  She was born on December 7, 1969 in Columbus, Ohio to Geneva Ross Gilliam of Waverly and the late Delbert Lee Gilliam.  On November 19, 1994 she was united in marriage to Rex Merritt of Waverly.  In addition to her husband and her mother, Angela is survived by her children; Andrew Merritt of Waverly, Ashley Merritt of Chillicothe and Alex (Hayley) Merritt of Chillicothe; her aunt, Helen Detillion of Waverly; and cousins, Cathy Detillion, Brian Detillion, Steve Detillion and Bill Detillion all of Canal Winchester.  In addition to her father, Angela was preceded in death by her uncle, Harold Detillion and cousin, Roger Detillion.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Omega Cemetery with Danny Minton officiating.

Services have been entrusted to Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly.
