Barbara Irene Mustard, 69, of Waverly, passed away peacefully and made her journey to Heaven to meet her Savior on Friday, August 21, 2026 at her residence. She was born at her childhood home on March 28, 1957, in the area of Elm Grove and Beavers Ridge, Ohio to the late Ottie Earl Mustard and Goldie Irene Newland Mustard. As anyone who knew her would tell you, her one goal in life was to make it to Heaven and to do all she could during her life to make sure her family, friends, and anyone she met would make it there someday as well.

Surviving are her brothers David Mustard and Ronald Mustard, and her sisters; Judy Lute, Beverly (Scott) Litteral and Delores (Tom) Oyer. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her brothers; Gary (Sharon) Mustard and an infant brother, Delmer Mustard; nephew Dewayne Mustardsister in law, Pamela Mustard, and brother in law Jerry Lute. Barbara is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and her great nieces and nephews, all of which she loved as her own.

Barbara was a 1976 graduate of Western Local School. She spent her career working in the culinary field, and retired from the Pavilion at Piketon as a Dietary Aide. Equal to her love for her family was her love for God. Barb dedicated her life to the lord, was proud to tell everyone she met she was a Christian, and lived her life as a servant to her Lord and Savior. We take peace in knowing she is rejoicing in heaven, seeing her loved ones who beat her there, and is finally at the place she yearned to call home most. She was a dedicated member of the Beavers Chapel Wesleyan Church, and loved her church family, worship, and being active at church events.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 27, 2026 at Beavers Chapel Wesleyan Church with Pastor Terry Lawson and Casey McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Leeth Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
