The best portion of a good man's life are the little nameless unremembered acts of kindness and love.

In addition to his wife, surviving are his children; Cassie Centers of Covington, Kentucky, Eric (Laci) Lawson of Otway and Joshua Lawson (Johnda) of West Portsmouth; grandchildren, Logan Lawson, Destiney Lawson, Maddox Centers and Lennox Centers; siblings, Jack (Patricia) Centers of Jacksonville, Florida, Buford (Doshia) Centers, Jr. of Austin, Indiana, Grover Centers of Newport, Tennessee, Danny Centers of Viper, Kentucky and Edith (Dewey) Campbell of Newport, Tennessee; brother-in-law, Anthony (Donna) Evans of Stout, Ohio; sister-in-law, Dee (Rusty) Carver of Blue Creek, Ohio; nieces, Tracy, Lisa, Jennifer, Crystal, Aschia, Alexa and Nikki; a nephew, Anthony; and his mother-in-law, Cora Evans. In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by one brother; Johnny Centers.
Billy was in the Army 101st Airborne Division Screaming Eagles from November 1974-November 1977. Billy was very proud of his service and told us some stories about his services. He was also a lifetime member of the NRA.
He had a kind generous giving heart he was willing to help you out and he expected nothing in return. He loved his flowers and planted a new kind each year the brighter he color the better. His grandchildren was the light of his life he enjoyed spending time with them and he was loved dearly by them he will be missed by all that knew him. There are special people in our lives who never leave us even after they are gone, don't cry because it's over smile because it happened, the best most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched they must be felt with the heart ♥️
