Bryan Wayne McDowell, 54, of Piketon, Ohio passed away Friday, July 17, 2020 at SOMC Hospice Center.  He was born on October 30, 1965 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Doris Roush and John (Paulette) McDowell of Lucasville, Ohio.  Also surviving are a daughter, Chrystal June "CJ" Leslie and husband Joe of Piketon; a son Jonathan McDowell and Sarah Burkitt of Lucasville; five grandchildren, Carter Risner, Imond Leslie, Emma McDowell, Bristol McDowell and Blayke McDowell; step-sister, Caprice McDowell of West Portsmouth, Ohio and a niece, Samantha Detillion of Londonderry, Ohio.  In addition to his mother Bryan was preceded in death by a brother, Jeff McDowell.

Bryan was retired from Local #83 in Portsmouth.  He loved his children and grandchildren who called him "Paps".

The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly.
