Charles Edward "Dee" Puckett, 75 of Lucasville, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022 at SOMC Hospice. He was born on April 25, 1947 in Floyd County, Kentucky  to the late James Roy Puckett and Edna May Spencer Puckett. Surviving are his children; Penny (Rick) Carver of McDermott, Kathy "Kitty" (Tony) Crabtree of Lucasville, Jerry Lee (Bobbie Jo) Puckett of Portsmouth and Chelsey Rae Patches (Jon) Heinlen of Hazlehurst, Georgia; grandchildren, Tony Crabtree, Jr., Jennifer Hall, Rebecca Crabtree, Ryan Crabtree, Tiffany (Michael) Chidsey, Ayla Puckett, Jeffrey Puckett, Shawn Puckett, Mark Cox, Ashley Puckett, Britany Puckett, Breanna Phipps, Kylee (Corey) Lepore, Hannah Crabtree, Elizabeth Heinlen, and Sofia Heinlen; a brother, Dave (Stella) Puckett of McDermott; and many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, Charles was proceeded in death by sons, Scotty Dean Puckett and Jeffrey Dee Puckett; siblings, James Donald Puckett, Doug Puckett, Olive Puckett Spencer Detty, Eleanor Evans and Stella Spencer.

Dee was a kind and gentle soul who enjoyed his family more than anything.  Everyone who knew him said he was the sweetest person they had ever met and he was looked up to by all who knew him.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m.  Friday, November 18, 2022 at Puckett Family Cemetery with Shawn Spencer officiating.  The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
