Charles Wayne Johnson, 68, of Piketon, Ohio passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.  He was born July 1, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Amos and Juanita Brill Johnson.  Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Kathy Hicks Johnson; children, Brian (Erica) Johnson, Mandy Johnson and Brandy Johnson; step-children, Cecil (Mindi) Jenkins and Tammy Jenkins; siblings, Tony (Beth) Johnson, Randy Johnson, Betty Kinikin, Frank Johnson, Amos (Roxanne) Johnson, Barbara Annette Apple and Greg (Peggy) Johnson; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Rick Johnson; sister, Rita Johnson; and step daughter, Ruth Harvey-Taylor.

Charles was a member of New Covenant Apostolic Church.  He enjoyed fishing, working on vehicles and spending time with his family.  He will be remembered for the love he had for God and his family.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.
