Charles Edward Riley, 92 of Otway, Ohio passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at SOMC Hospice. He was born on November 10, 1930 in Rarden, Ohio to the late Emitt Ellsworth Riley and Melva Devernia Saddler Riley. On October 10, 1999 he was united in marriage to Carolyn Eichenlaub Riley who survives. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Steve Riley of Lucasville, Ohio, Tammy Starnes of Piketon, Ohio, Sandra McIntyre of Latham, Ohio, Steven Boldman of Otway and Brenda (Brian) Stephens of Otway; brother, Mike Riley of Georgetown, Ohio, sisters, Arizona Gilley of Otway, Mary Boldman of Portsmouth, Ohio, Martha Gharm of Kentucky and Rebecca Mustard of Piketon; ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by siblings, Samuel Lynn Riley, Norman Riley, Donna Riley, Margaret Jones and Violet Mae Gilley; his grandson, Steven Boldman and great great granddaughter, Kynleigh Lynn Gifford.

Charles was a member of Tick Ridge Community Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Tick Ridge Community Baptist Church with Pastors Bob Davis and Nicholas Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Oswego Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the church.
