Chester Arthur Hatfield, 82 of Waverly passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Hospice of Central Ohio at The OSU Wexner Medical Center.  He was born on June 21, 1940 to the late Ruben Hatfield and Cora Elizabeth Gragg.  Surviving are his children; Rachel (Arlie) Tackett of Peebles, Angie (Nick)  Lemaster of Waverly, Simon Hatfield of South Salem, Sam Hatfield of Bainbridge and Dan Hatfield of Greenfield; grandchildren, Veronica, Nicholas, Brett, Hannah, Amanda and Cheyenne; sister, Tiny Hatfield of Greenfield and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Chester was preceded in death by brothers; Bob, Eddie, Walter, Carl and Melvin and sister, Evelyn.

Chester was a member of Union Hill Church.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Union Hill Church with Pastor Buddy Brabson and Reverend Judy Kay VanHoy officiating.  Burial will follow in Gardner Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Monday, August 22, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly.
