Christopher Lee Gilley, 43 of Rarden passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 as the result of an automobile accident.  He was born on April 12, 1981 in Portsmouth to the late Randy Lee Gilley and Ponda Carroll Moore of Rarden.  On October 28, 2023 he was united in marriage to Stephanie Gilley of Rarden.  Surviving are his children; Zane Gilley of Rarden, Lane Gilley of Rarden, Joshua Sadler of West Portsmouth, McKenna Howard of West Portsmouth, Dominique (Jeremy) Reed of West Portsmouth, Desiree Sadler of West Portsmouth and Dreama Sadler of West Portsmouth; grandchildren, Taylyn, Kovyn, Gracie, Baby J, Charlee and he was anxiously awaiting Baby Gilley ; sisters, Melinda (Jamie) Gaffin of West Union and Sara (Graham) Nelson of Washington Court House; grandmother, Arizona Gilley of Rarden; many nieces and nephews; many aunts and uncles and numerous friends.  In addition to his father, Christopher was preceded in death by his grandparents; Jimmy Lee Gilley, Gene Carroll and Jewell Carroll and a grandchild; Ashtyn Reed.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway with Pastor Kenton Powell officiating.  Burial will follow in Hackworth Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
