Colin "Coke" Ray Hamilton, 79, of Piketon, Ohio passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at home.  He was born on August 1, 1944 in Floyd County, Kentucky son of the late Felix Hamilton Sr. and Zera Ruth (Osborne) Hamilton.  He is survived by a son, Scott (Cheri) Hamilton of Oxford, Alabama, a daughter, Collena (Michael) Taylor of Piketon; five grandchildren, Ali (Caleb) Penn, Ashley Smith, Maia, Elliott and William Hamilton; great-grandchildren, Lilly and Oliver Penn; a brother, Felix Hamilton of West Union, Ohio; a sister, Phyllis Posten of Gainsville, Georgia; and a special nephew, Paul David Hamilton.  In addition to his parents, Coke was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Hamilton and sisters, Patty Ritchie, Silvia Perry and Gloria Gibson.

Coke worked at Wear Ever until they closed and then went on to get a degree in Social Work from Shawnee State University.  He then retired from Meijer.  He was an umpire for over 35 years which led him to be inducted into the Cooperstown Little League Hall of Fame.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Scott Judge, Minister officiating.  Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3 at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Adena Hospice and the Adena Cancer Center for their care.
