Darlene Sue Hutchinson, 69, of Waverly, Ohio passed away Friday, February 18, 2022 at her home.  She was born October 28, 1952 in West Union, Ohio to the late Lee Edward and Dorothy Louise Burns Shanks.  In 1969 she was united in marriage to Hersel Shelton Hutchinson who preceded her in death in 1979.  Surviving are her children, Bertha Louise (Darrin) Jenkins of Piketon, Frederick Dale (Lisa) Hutchinson of Jackson and Joshua Ray (Audrey Allison) Derenburger of Kingston; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Louie Lee (Lois) Shanks, Sandra Carlene (Eddie) Pinkerton, Terry Robert Shanks, Brenda Kay (Thomas) Smith and Daniel Dale (Marla) Shanks.

Whether you knew her as Darlene, Mom, Granny, Mamaw, Aunt or Friend she'll be greatly missed by all, until we meet her again in Heaven someday.  As for now she is watching over us.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Open Door Fellowship on Bridge St. in Chillicothe, Ohio.  Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to help the family with expenses.
