Rev. Dewey Henry Beekman, 88, of Peebles, Ohio passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at Adena-Pike Medical Center in Waverly.  He was born December 26, 1932 in Pike County, Ohio to Robert and Blanche Caves Beekman.  On April 1, 1957 he was united in marriage to Evelyn Jones Beekman who survives.  Also surviving are two sons, Ronnie Beekman and wife Pam of Piketon and Mark Beekman and wife Kim of Waverly; grandchildren, Megan (Brent) Williams, Andrew Beekman, Jody (Tammy) Beekman, Bradley Beekman and Samantha (Wayne) Gates; great-grandchildren, Emerson Grace Williams, Zander Beekman, Jayla Beekman, Christopher Gates and Chelsea Gates; a brother, Donald Beekman; and sisters, Freda Ours, Ann (Larry) Martin, Bernice Beavers and Darlene Senig.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Arnold, Ralph, Paul and Junior Beekman; and a sister, Audrey Nelson.

Dewey proudly served his country in the United States Army.  He was a member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union and a pastor at Solid Rock Church.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly.  Burial will follow in White Oak Cemetery.  Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
