Donald Eugene Johnson, 87, of Dayton, Ohio passed away Monday, June 20, 2022 at Hospice of Dayton.  He was born September 24, 1934 in Waverly, Ohio to the late Archie Wilson Johnson and Dorothy Elnora Osborn.  In September of 1954 he was united in marriage to Martha Francis Dillard Johnson who survives.  Also surviving are his children, JC Johnson and wife Rhonda of Piketon, Joyce Hughes and husband Steve of Beavercreek and Jeff Johnson and wife Lisa of Beavercreek; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brothers, Carl Johnson of Florida, Charles Johnson of Oklahoma, and Larry Stevens of Lucasville; and a sister, Evelyn Glenn of Lucasville.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Glen Edward Johnson, Richard Johnson and Samuel Stevens; a sister, Maxine Gilbert; and a step-father, Elmer Stevens.

Donald proudly served his country in the Army National Guard and was a retired greens keeper at Skyline Golf Course.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday, June 27, 2022 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Pastor Jeff Rhoads officiating.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery on Denver Rd.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral at the funeral home.
