Donald Ray Tribby, 81, of Waverly, Ohio passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023 at his home. He was born September 24, 1942 in Wellston, Ohio to the late Nellie Tribby Price. On May 31, 1968 he was united in marriage to Thelma Edra Euton Tribby who preceded him in death on September 12, 2015.  Surviving are his children, Timothy (Jenny) Tribby of Waverly and Kimberly (Tony) Bennett of Mechanicsburg, Ohio; grandchildren, Brice (Haleigh) Bennett, Samantha (Zayne) Warrens, Jerrika Leasure, Jake (Sydney Keller) Tribby and Chris (Mariah) Moore; and a great-grandchild, Cora Moore.

Donald proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Waverly Masonic Lodge for 50 years and was also a member of the Pike County Shrine Club. Donald was a trooper for the Ohio State Highway Patrol for 7 years and was owner of Rich Oil in Waverly for over 25 years.  He loved local dirt track racing and watching NASCAR.  Cooking was his passion and he enjoyed new recipes.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 17, 2023 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly.  Burial will follow in Euton Cemetery in Otway, Ohio.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 16th at the funeral home.
