Doris Jean Rockwell, 88 of Piketon, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026 at Traditions at Bristol Village. She was born on October 12, 1937 in Elliott County, Kentucky to the late William “Tom” Williams and Anna Marie Cox Williams. Doris was united in marriage to David Rockwell who preceded her in death. Surviving are her children; Nancy Steele of Piketon, Freda (Mike) Hall of Flatwoods, Kentucky, Sandy (W.D.) Nowell of Circleville, Jeffrey Dale (Ann) Hay of Beach Park, Illinois, George W (Jeanine) Hay of Iron Station, North Carolina and Randall Dean (Gina) Hay of Lucasville; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Helen (Roy Lee) Shear and Paula Perry and her sister-in-law Thelma Williams. In addition to her husband and her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Robin Hay and sons-in-law; Craig Bryant and Dick Steele.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with burial to follow in Bailey Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
