Edgar "Vondale" Adams, 89, of Rarden passed away on September 4, 2025. He was born February 25, 1936. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Edgar Adams and and Catherine Riley Adams and his brother Roy Clyde Adams.  He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Adams, 3 daughters, Michelle Adams (Scott Ross), April (Dwayne) Litreal, Darla Gill (Gary Howard); 7 grandchildren, Destiny, Desirae, Cruz, Kiara, Trey, Isaiah, Christian; 8 great-grandchildren, Ryder, Elaina, Demitri, Everleigh, Lane, Vitani, Bella, Scott; 4 siblings, Dixie Kirker, Ronnie (Alethea) Adams, Vivian Gardner and Tammy Adams; 4 nieces and 5 nephews.  He was the founding member of the Rarden Fire Department.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway with Jimmy Jones officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Joy Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at the funeral home.
