Lusta "Ellen" Spires Davis, 82, of Otway passed away Friday, November 12, 2021 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth.  She was born January 20, 1939 in Rarden, Ohio to the late Leo and Dorothy Mangus Newman.  On September 15, 1956 she was united in marriage to Jesse Spires who preceded her in death on November 16, 1998.  She later married Howard Davis who also preceded her in death on January 26, 2019.  Surviving are children, Hershel Darrell (Brenda) Newman of Otway, Tenia (Doug) Gannon of Leesburg, Richard (Connie) Spires of Otway, John (Teri) Spires of Otway, Jerry (Tonya) Spires of Otway and Jesse David Spires of Otway; 20 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Rose (Kenny) Gardner; and a brother, Wayne (Wanda) Newman.  In addition to her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Kay Bailey; grandchildren, James Gene Richard, Jr., Jesse Ernest Richard and Eric Bolton; sisters, Kay Rothwell and Ruth Newman; a brother, Cary (Carol) Newman; and a daughter-in-law, Faye Newman.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Hoffer Hill Community Church with Rev. Kenneth Gardner officiating.  Burial will follow in Hoffer Hill Community Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
