Freeda Maxine Ours, 89, of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024 at Buckeye Care and Rehab in Lancaster.  She was born November 6, 1934 in Peebles, Ohio to the late Robert Othel Beekman and Blanche Ethel Caves Beekman.  In 1975 she was united in marriage to Herman Ours who preceded her in death in 2002.  Surviving are her daughter, Joyce Beekman Cherubini of Lancaster; sisters, Ann (Larry) Martin of Bainbridge, Bernice Beavers of Latham and Darlene Senig of Lancaster; grandchildren, Wendy (Jeff) Davis, Jason (Jennifer) Ours, Jennifer (James) Clark; daughter-in-law, Rose Ours; 8 great- grandchildren; a special friend, Esther Messerknecht and a special helper, Mark Ours.  In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Caleb Tiller; brothers, Donald, Dewey, Arnold, Ralph, Paul and Everett Junior Beekman; and a sister, Audrey Nelson.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
