Gary Cooper, 63 of Rarden, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023 at his residence. He was born on May 23, 1959 in Dayton to the late George Cooper and Ivory Eunice (Glen Richard) Williams Smith. Surviving are his children; Amber Dawn Cooper of Florida and Kashawn Cooper of Oregon; siblings, Tina Chambers of Portsmouth, Beverly Cooper of South Shore, Kentucky, George Cooper II of Wheelersburg and Larry Cooper of Portsmouth and best friend, Dave Shelpman of South Shore, Kentucky. In addition to his parents and step father, Gary was preceded in death by two brothers; Jerry Cooper and Alfred Cooper.

A gathering of friends and family will be held on, Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Military honors will be conducted by the Williams Baker Post #363 of the American Legion at 2:00 p.m.
