Glen Richard Smith, age 81, of Portsmouth, Ohio passed away on Tuesday June 23, 2020 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth.  He was born on June 5, 1939 in Portsmouth to the late Emily B. Smith and raised by his grandparents Thomas R. Smith and Valorie Smith.  In 1979 he was united in marriage to Ivory Eunice (Williams) Smith who preceded him in death.

Surviving are two daughters, Tina Chambers of Otway, Ohio and Beverly Lansing of Kentucky; three sons, Gary Cooper of Otway, George Cooper of Portsmouth and Larry Cooper of Portsmouth; and many cousins.  In addition to his wife, mother and grandparents, Glen was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry Cooper and Alfred Cooper and his son-in-law Jeffrey Chambers.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 3, 2020 from 12:30 PM until 2:30 PM at the Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway.
