Glenda Lou Powell, 72, of Lucasville, Ohio passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio surrounded by her family.  She was born on March 5, 1949 in Portsmouth, Ohio, daughter of the late Earl Glenn Cox and Hannah Trailor Cox of Lucasville.  On August 18, 1973 Glenda was united in marriage to Phillip Powell who survives.  In addition to her mother and husband, Glenda is also survived by two daughters, Amy (Sean) Stiltner of Piketon, Ohio and Jessica (Billy) Fremder of Lucasville; four grandchildren, Nevaeh Stiltner, Amaya Stiltner, Ethan (Cheyenne) Fremder and Mikaila Fremder; a great grandson, Crew Fremder; three sisters, Donna Pettay, Gayl Howard and Cheryl Ridenour and many nieces and nephews.

Glenda loved working as a nurse, enjoyed spending time with her family and loved her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed flowers and gardening.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 6, 2021 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway.  Burial will follow in Garvin Cemetery.  Family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
