Harlan Donald Borders Sr., 80, of Hodge Lane, Piketon, Ohio passed away Friday, April 17, 2020 at his home.  He was born December 23, 1939 in Jackson, Ohio son of the late Russell Borders and Mary Salyers Borders. On March 10, 1959, Harlan was united in marriage to Rosemary "Rosie" Simons Borders who preceded him in death on November 26, 2016. Surviving are four children, Harlan Donald Borders, Jr. and wife Wanda, Vickie Starr and husband James, Edward Borders and wife Virgie, and Ray Borders and Angie Breech all of Piketon; 59 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Daisy Blevens and Janie Sickles.  In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Borders; three brothers, Russell, Lonnie and Thomas Borders, and two sisters, Edna Borders and Marie Tilley.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Pastor Charlie Tackett officiating.  Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery in Piketon.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
