Jack Theo Newkirk, 62, of Waverly, Ohio passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia.  He was born March 15, 1963, in Adams County, Ohio to the late Roy Alfred and Patricia Ann Smith Newkirk.  Also surviving are a sister, Mary Kay Newkirk of Waverly; a brother, James Clarence Newkirk of Waverly; two sons, Clayton and Josh Newkirk; nephews and niece, Zachary Sexton, Heather and Garret Blanton and their sons, Lane and Trace Blanton; and many aunts, uncles and friends.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Alfred Newkirk and a sister, Carolyn Sue Newkirk.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026 at New Covenant Church in Waverly with Michael Blevins officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the church.

The family asks that memorial donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
