Jaidon Timothy Michael Tackett, 14, of Waverly, Ohio passed away Monday, December 8, 2025 at Adena Pike ER in Waverly.  He was born July 19, 2011 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Heather Staten (Josiah Knight) of Waverly.  In addition to his mother he is survived by a sister, Jaelinn Tackett of Waverly; two brothers, Jordyn Tackett and Amari Owes of Waverly; a grandmother, Vergie Howard; uncles, Nicholas (Angela) Lemaster, Stephen (Jessica) Monhollen, Steve (Holly) Tackett and Austin Tackett; an aunt, Teresa (Chad) Pinkerton; and special friends, Earl Jones, Aiden Alley and Tyler Lemaster.

Jaidon was a freshman at Western High School.  He loved karate, shooting guns and powerlifting and he was his mom's little sour patch kid because he could be sweet and sour.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 15, 2025 at Western High School with Pastor Mick Whitt officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the high school.
