James Ray O’Hara, Sr., 73, of Manchester, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville, Kentucky. He was born on March 30, 1953, in Otway to the late Robert “Bob” O’Hara and Thelma Cooper Elmore of Xenia. In addition to his mother, Jim is survived by his children; James Ray O’Hara of Louisiana, Allen Dean O’Hara of Jackson County, Ester Marie (Derek Matthew) Henry of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Brandy Lea Wright of Lucasville, Bobby Lee O’Hara of Jackson, Candy Harcow of Camden Arkansas and Starlet Johnson of Missouri; grandchildren, Carter Geiss, Shyeria O’Hara, Felicity O’Hara, Isaiah Henry, Cpl. Alexander Henry, Brandon Wright, Robert Spencer, Almarina Sutton, Anthony Spencer, Bobby Lee O’Hara, Jr., James Thomas O’Hara, Mary Chaplin, Rebecca Chaplin, Alyssa Johnson and David Johnson and his siblings; Theresa Taylor, Gladys Whipple, Carol (Thomas) Kemper, Chuck O’Hara and John O’Hara. In addition to his father, James was preceded in death by his brothers; Scott O’Hara and Robert O’Hara and his step father; Joseph Floyd Elmore.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway. Burial will follow in Moon Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
