Janis Ann Ivers, 90 of New Boston, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth.  She was born on May 15, 1934 in Otway to the late Robert Dale Ivers and Ada Jones Ivers.  Surviving are her nephew and nieces; David (Trula) Lathrop of Bastian, Virginia, Dana (John Howard) Lathrop of Portsmouth, Paula Lodwick of Chilhowie, Virginia and Karen (Ed) Freeman of Palmetto, Florida and numerous great nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Janis was preceded in death by her sisters; Betty Ivers Lathrop and Sandra Ivers and her nephew; James Robert Lathrop.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway with burial to follow in East Liberty Cemetery in Lynx.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
