Jeffrey Dee Puckett, 49, of McDermott, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022 in Piketon.  He was born on May 10, 1972 in Portsmouth to Charles Dee Puckett of Lucasville and Betty Jo Smith of Minford.  Surviving are his children; Jeffrey Puckett and Britany Puckett both of Columbus; three grandchildren; Twin brother, Jerry Lee (Bobbie Jo) Puckett of Portsmouth; sisters, Kathy "Kitty" (Tony) Crabtree of Lucasville, Penny (Rick Carver) Puckett of Lucasville and Chelsey (John) Heinlen of Lucasville; Nephews and Nieces, Ryan Crabtree, Tiffany Chidsey, Ayla Puckett, Shawn Puckett, Mark Cox, Ashley Puckett, Kylee Lepore, Elizabeth Heinlen, Sofia Heinlen, Jennifer Hall, Rebecca Crabtree, Tony Crabtree, Jr. and Hannah Hamilton.  Jeffrey was survived by numerous Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and Friends.  Jeffrey was preceded in death by one brother; Scotty Dean Puckett.

Jeffrey was a heavy equipment operator for Taylor Lumber and more recently for S&A Lumber Company in Piketon.  You never saw Jeff with out a smile on his face.  He loved the Ohio State Buckeyes.  He loved being on the farm and spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway with burial to follow in Puckett Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m.  until the time of the service at the funeral home.
