Joyce V. Hoffer, 88, of Rarden, Ohio passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Rest Haven Nursing Home in McDermott, Ohio.  She was born December 15, 1935 in Morehead, Kentucky to the late Clyde and Geneva Epperhart Earls.  Surviving are her children, Joyce Marie Thompson of Rarden and Daniel (Lou Ann) Hoffer of McDermott; grandchildren, Jeff Thompson, Chris (Mildred) Thompson, Jennifer (James) Estep, Rebecca (Josh) Wittenmyer and Michael Hoffer; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul Earles, Wilford Earls and Avery Earls; a sister, Jeanie Ridner; and many nephews and nieces.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Hoffer and Loren Hyatt; brothers, Phillip and Odes Earls; and a sister, Wanda Liming.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 17, 2024 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway with Monty White officiating.  Burial will follow in New Hoffer Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
