Karla Doreen McClary, 68, of Waverly, Ohio passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at her home.  She was born January 17, 1958 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Durward Chandler and Georgia Crabtree Chandler.  On August 25, 1990 she was united in marriage to Allen McClary who survives.  Also surviving are her children, Kristi (Terry) Shepherd of Otway, Ohio and Bryon (Tia) Chandler of Waverly; grandchildren, Faith Adkins, Cody Shepherd, Hope Shepherd, Zane Gilley, Lane Gilley, TJ Shepherd, Evan Chandler, Elliana Chandler, Emmalee Chandler and Kenley Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Zayden, Adaline, Jaxon and Paxton; a sister, Cheryl Milstead; a brother, Trent Chandler; and special friends, Tom and Alice Tackett.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a dear friend, Tammy Hamilton Miller.

Karla was an avid animal lover. She loved seasonal camping at Pine Lake and camping on vacation in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She loved the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cincinnati Reds, but most of all she loved her family.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2026 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home of Waverly. Burial will follow.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
