Lamerica June Holsinger Payne, 79 of Piketon, Ohio went to be with her Lord at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2024 with her loving husband of 64 years, Richard E. Payne by her side, at Adena Pike Medical Center Hospice, Waverly, Ohio. She was born June 19, 1944 in Scioto County, Ohio to the late Flora A. Williams Holsinger and Harold H. Holsinger.  Lamerica was married on September 1, 1964 to Richard E. Payne who survives.

Lamerica is survived by two sons, Richard S. (Bonnie Carrico) Payne of Piketon and Randy L. (Lisa) Guth of Talco, Texas; a daughter, Tabatha S. Payne (Ricky Joe) McGraw of Piketon; three grandsons, Austin L. McGraw of Piketon, Jacob A. (Heather) McGraw of Waverly and Tanner S. Guth of Talco, Texas; a granddaughter, Amy (Nathan) Payne Smalley of Lucasville; great granddaugters, Hadlee Drew McGraw, Abbi Smalley, Lynlee Smalley, Maci Smalley and Trinity Stewart; great grandsons, Kolter Creed McGraw who was born May 16, 2024, Brycen McCartney and Gabriel Minehart; and a brother, Ronald (Jan) Holsinger.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert A. Holsinger and a sister, Jenean (Paul) Brummett.

Lamerica was a homemaker and formerly of Rubyville Community Church.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2024 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Pastor Calvin Ray Evans officiating.  Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.  The family has asked that they receive no visitors after the service.
