Lilla Faye Marcum, 89, of Orient, Ohio passed away Friday, December 22, 2023 at her home.  She was born February 9, 1934 in Inez, Kentucky to the late William Howard Preece and Rosie Delong.  On May 25, 1957 she was united in marriage to Willie Marcum, Sr. who survives.  Also surviving are her children, Willie (Ann) Marcum, Jr. of Pickaway County, Ohio and Larry (Tracey) Marcum of Orient, Ohio; 5 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Melvin Franklin Preece and Donnie Preece; and a sister, Vernie Makenzie.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Charles Edward Collier and a daughter, Doris Gladstone; brothers, James Buddy Preece, Howard Preece Jr., Daniel Boone Preece, Harold Preece, Glen Ray Preece and Lonnie Preece; and sisters, Sharon Kay Winchester, Oppy Corrine Ellis and Eula Fern Cartee.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Rev. Dave Bowens officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery on Camp Creek.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Friday, Decemeber 29, 2023 at the funeral home.
