Marvin Kale Henderson, 74, of Piketon, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. He was born on October 10, 1951, in Chillicothe to the late Elijah Henderson and the late Mary Bell Hilderbrand Henderson. On September 23, 1972, he was united in marriage to Frances Rae Russell Henderson, who preceded him in death on February 25, 2023. Marvin is survived by his son Marvin “Marty” K (Tina) Henderson, Jr. of Piketon; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; Brothers, Richard “Rippy” Henderson of Piketon, Buford Henderson of Piketon, and James “Tuffy” Henderson of Piketon; and his sister, Naomi Russell of Piketon. In addition to his wife and his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by his son Anthony “Tony” Craig Henderson; his great-granddaughter, Daisy Gragg; and his siblings: Paul Henderson, Elwood Henderson, Gerald Hall, Clyde Hall, Gracie Fugate, Dessie Hall, and Maxine Hall.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2026, at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Merritt Post #142. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
