Mary Louise Hughes, 65 of Otway passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at her residence. She was born on May 2, 1959, in West Union to the late Orval Asa Hoffer and Eva Idean Damron Hoffer. On February 3, 1992, she was united in marriage to Samuel Jay Huges who preceded her death on May 3, 2023. Surviving are her siblings; Berneda (Tim) Foster of Peebles, Nancy (Danny) Shoemaker of Locust Grove, Nelson Hoffer of Rarden and Dwayne Hoffer of Rarden; stepchildren, Barry Hughes of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Brian Hughes of Otway and Anthony Hughes of Lucasville; step grandchildren, Amanda Charlton, Yamato Hughes and Taiyo Hughes; step great grandchildren; Ariel, Lyla, Noah and Aleah and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the funeral home to help cover funeral expenses.
