Mary Ellen Weakley, 61 of Otway, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2026 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born on January 21, 1965 in Portsmouth to the late Paul Eugene Powell and Bertha Runkle Powell of Otway. On October 17, 1988, she was united in marriage to Roger A Weakley of Otway. In addition to her husband and her mother, Mary is survived by her children; Brent (Megan) Weakley of Wamsleyville, Aaron (Payton) Weakley of Otway, Ryan (Lyndsee) Weakley of Lucasville; brother-in-law Terry Weakley of Otway; grandchildren, Kayleigh, Cheyenne, Savannah, Audrey, Shelby, Cohen, Connor, Bayleigh, Blake, Langsten, Owen and Lexie; great granddaughter Rylee, her siblings; Paul Powell of Otway, Dallas Powell of Otway, Russell (Stephanie) Powell of Otway, Jack (Tina) Powell of Lucasville, Danny (Melissa) Powell of Otway, Matt (Traci) Powell of Otway and Jenny (Buck) Powell of Rarden. In addition to her father, Mary was preceded in death by her sister-in-law Julie Powell.

Mary was a true caregiver to all who knew her. She loved her family immensely. Her husband was her best friend. Along with her husband, her children and grandchildren were her entire world. She cared for everyone around her, especially Kayleigh, the granddaughter she raised, her pride and joy!
