Nathaniel Reed Sr., 69, of Waverly, Ohio passed away November 15, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Melissa Woodrum Reed, whom he married on June 21, 1974; four children, Nathaniel (Lisa) Reed of Greenfield, Ohio, Dianna (Shawn) Carter of Chillicothe, Ohio, Mathew (Wendy) Reed of Frankfort, Ohio and Elizabeth Reed of Greenfield; eleven grandchildren, Irene (Mike) Masters, Nathaniel (Whitney) Reed, Nick (Christina) Reed, Zack (Maddie) Reed, Joey Miller, Dylan (Makenzie) Reed, Justin Reed, Sarah Leverone, Joshua Reed, Avery Reed and Tyler (Brianne) Reed; thirteen great-grandchildren, Nova, Alana, Colton, Little Nathan, Little Nick, Luk, Alexis, Little Zack, Adalynn, Remington, Braillee, Avalynn and Maralo; siblings, Alice (Ronnie) Simpkins of Columbus, Ohio, Christina (Keith) Morris of Chillicothe, Ralph (Lisa) Reed of Londonderry, Ohio, Lorraine Reed of Columbus, Paul Reed of Londonderry, Ohio and William Reed; and numerous nieces and nephews and his uncle; Albert Reed of Otway.  He is preceded in death by his dad and mom, William and Nancy Reed; a sister, Carrie Doughty and a niece, Brandy Tracy.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2025 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Vern Bailey officiating.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Denver Rd.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at the funeral home.
