Norman Douglas Stewart, 69, of Waverly, Ohio passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Adena Pike ER in Waverly.  He was born March 21, 1956 in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Charles and Leona Damron Stewart.  On January 16, 1993 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Church Stewart who survives.  Also surviving are his step-children, Samuel Smith of Waverly, Amy Smith of Waverly and Rachael Smith of Wisconsin; siblings, Adeline Virginia Tackett of Waverly, Charley (JoAnn) Stewart of Nevada, Ohio, Glenda (Don) Branham of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, Mamie (fiancé Fred Carte) Mills of Flatwoods, Kentucky and Mary (Bill) Stewart of Catlettsburg, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren with one in the oven; and many nephews and nieces.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Wilma Geraldine Vince and Bonnie Harrah.

Norman was a construction journeyman and was of the Pentecostal faith.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Jean Ray officiating.  Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 4:00p.m. – 7:00p.m. Friday January 9th at the funeral home.
