Oscar Richard Mustard, 79, of Nelsonville, Ohio passed away Friday, May 20, 2022 at his home.  He was born October 4, 1942 in Sunfish Township, Pike County, Ohio to the late Oscar Albert Mustard and Della Hart Mustard Shaw.  Surviving are sons, Jeffrey Richard (Catherine) Mustard, Sr. of Nelsonville and Steven Frederick Mustard, Sr. also of Nelsonville; grandchildren, John Russell, Jeffrey R. Mustard, Jr., Clara Ellen Mustard, Megan Russell, Samantha Kay Mustard, Hannah Della Mustard, Steven Frederick Mustard, Jr., Justin Oscar Troy Mustard, Michael Angelo Ortega and Gabriel James Ortega.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Diana Lynn Mustard.

Oscar was a member of the VFW and proudly served his country in the United States Army as a member of the 82 ^nd Airborn. He was retired from the Teamsters Local Union.  Oscar enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow up and loved fishing and relaxing with his grandsons.  He enjoyed spending time with his children, giving them daily advice and especially enjoyed helping them build their log cabins.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Pastor Terry Lawson officiating.  Burial will follow in White Oak Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
