Paula J. Parrish, 72, of London, Ohio passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on May 27, 1950 in St. Albans, West Virginia, daughter of the late Paul Richard Parrish and Mary Eleanor Wells Parrish. Surviving is a brother, Charles E. "Ed" Parrish of Covington, Virginia; nephews and nieces, Bryan (Lori) Parrish of Belpre, Ohio, Laura Parrish of Belpre, Ohio and Leigh (John) Stubbs of Waverly, Ohio, Ryan (Kandi) Parrish of Clinton, Tennessee, Craig (Alison) Parrish of Augusta, Georgia, Richard Parrish and John Parrish both of Louisville, Kentucky; many great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews; a cousin, Sharon (Richard) Pettit and several other cousins, a sister-in-law, Linnie Parrish and her cat, Missy. In addition to her parents, Paula was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul D. Parrish and John R. Parrish and a nephew, Barry Parrish.

Paula was retired from the US Army with 22 years of service and later retired from the State of Ohio Division of Safety and Hygiene. Paula held many jobs in her retirement and made many friends. In addition to being a loving sister, aunt, great aunt, great great aunt, cousin and friend, Paula was a minister and was a commissioned Kentucky Colonel.

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Mound Cemetery in Piketon, Ohio. Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Merritt Post #142 of Waverly. Arrangements are in care of Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Paula's name to the Military Women's Memorial in Arlington, Virginia at 200 N.
