Ricky Leo Clay, born May 8, 1960, in Huntington, West Virginia, was the son of Harold “Jerry” Clay and Wanda Blankenship. He will be remembered for the life he lived, the family he loved, and the passion he carried throughout his years.

Ricky had a lifelong passion for old vehicles, especially Chevrolets. He spent many years working as a mechanic and body man, dedicating his time and talents to working on vehicles. His love for classic cars was more than a hobby; it was a part of who he was.

Above all, Ricky leaves behind a family who will cherish his memory and carry his legacy forward. He is survived by his beloved wife, Debra Carroll, and his five children: Amanda (William) Brown, Ricky (Amanda) Clay, Eric Clay, Frank (Jessica) Clay, and Jewell (David) Rivers.

He was a proud grandfather to Elizabeth, Nathan, Brandon, Xavier, Laila, Nathan, and Jase, and a great-grandfather to six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Marty (Beth) Clay and Diana Carroll.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Harold “Jerry” Clay and Wanda Blankenship; his stepfather, Harold Blankenship; and his brother, Bobby Clay.

Though he will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him, the memories he leaves behind will live on through his family and the many lives he touched. His love of old Chevrolets, his years of hard work, and the memories shared with those closest to him will remain a lasting part of his story.

May he rest in peace, forever remembered and always loved.
