Robert James Koch, 93, of Appling, Georgia, entered into rest, Saturday, May 29, 2021.
He was a native of Rarden, Ohio, but, has lived in Appling for many years.
Mr. Koch was a retired SFC from the United States Army. He served his country as a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Romie Koch; daughter, Roberta Jane Koch; beloved wife, Betty Lorraine Koch; brothers, Richard Lee Koch and Charles Jr. Koch; sisters, Mary jane Garvie Purdin, Helen Koch King, Ramona Stafford and Ilean Koch.
Mr. Koch is survived by his children, James "Bobby' Koch, Barbara (Robert) Turner, Howard (Jenny) Koch, Susan (Joe) Alvarnaz, Nancy Golden and David (Kellye) Koch; 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 6 great, great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at Mt. Joy Cemetery in Otway, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Koch's name to: the Wounded Warrior Project or Veterans Inc.
