Rodney Bruce Crabtree, 79, of Lucasville, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2020 at his residence.  He was born August 7, 1941 in Lucasville to the late Clarence Esto and Rosie McClary Crabtree.  On December 24, 1972 he married Kathy Jordan Crabtree who survives.  In addition to his wife Rodney is survived by one son; Mark Crabtree of Lucasville; 3 daughters, Tina Mosley of Lucasville, Patty (Rodney) Brown of Beaver and Doris Crabtree of Lucasville; one sister, Betty Chambliss of Otway; five grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son; Rodney Crabtree; one daughter, Sandy Boldman; three grandchildren, Randy Mosley, Amanda Mosley and Jesse Mosley;  five brothers, Clarence Crabtree, James Crabtree, Curtis Crabtree, Paul Crabtree and Infant Boy Crabtree; three sisters Grace Rose Cassidy, Lillian Altman and Genevieve Crabtree.

Rodney was a retired logger who enjoyed caring for exotic animals during his retirement.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, October 16, 2020 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway .  Burial will follow in Rockwell Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Botkin Hornback Funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
