Roger Paul Dunn, 88 of Piketon, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.   He was born on January 29, 1936 son of the late Robie and Dorothy (Barker) Dunn.

On August 16, 1956, Roger was united in marriage to Thelma Wyckoff Dunn, who preceded him in death on December 13, 2021.  Roger is survived by a daughter, Rhonda Howard (Leroy) of Piketon, and two granddaughters Shannon Kelley (Tom) of Piketon, Stacy Weber (Aaron) of Minford, and five great grandchildren, Leighton Kelley, Laila Kelley, Legend Kelley, Luke Weber and Beau Weber; a sister-in-law, Nancy Wyckoff Gragg (Kenny) of Piketon; a  brother-in-law, Gary Wyckoff of New London, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.

Roger continued to reside at home after the loss of his wife Thelma.  He was a member of Elm Grove Church of Christ and a retired truck driver.  He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Roger and Thelma spent many years enjoying winters in Florida.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank Adena Regional Medical Center and a special thanks to Nurse Stephanie Dresbach for their care of Roger.  All the support from family and friends during this time was greatly appreciated.
