Roger Isaac, Sr. is resting in the arms of his loving savior, Jesus. Roger passed away on April 1, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving wife and family. Roger couldn't have chosen a better day to have passed than April Fool's Day as he loved to make people laugh and was always joking around.
Roger was born May 8, 1948 in Wheelwright, Kentucky to the late Emery and Mendie Collins Isaac.
Roger was a retired heavy equipment operator out of Operating Engineers Local 18. Roger enjoyed being outside puttering around and especially mowing. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Roger was a hardworking man who loved his family.
Roger is survived by his wife of 54 ½ years, Delores (Carpenter) Isaac. God joined their two hearts on November 8, 1969 and built a loving life and family. Roger is survived by five children; sons, Roger (Tonya) Isaac, Jr. and Timothy (Aleksandra) Isaac both of Ohio; daughters, Lisa (Vicente aka Dad's bulldog) Orona also of Ohio, Amy (Luther) Berry of Florida and Penny Brown of Illinois; bonus kids, Kevin Rowe and Becky Crader both of Ohio; grandchildren, Christie (Michael) Rice, Dewaine (Kelsey) Norman, Colton Isaac, Timothy Joshua (Joshie) Evan Isaac, Nicholas and Benjamin Orona, Hunter, Christian, Ethan, Logan and Graci Berry, Hayden and Payton Brown; great-grandchildren, Sophia Norman and soon to be Ezra Coppola; brother, Emery Isaac Jr.; sister, Mary (John) Thomas; aunts, Della, Mary and Allene; and many, many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by one of his precious grandsons, Evgeni Genov; brothers, Earl and Sherlie Isaac; sisters, Ellen Isaac and Helen Swango.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Beech Fork Church in Otway with Doug Brown and Tom Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Scioto Cemetery in Lucasville, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Services in care of Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Ashland Community Hospice, Lewy Body Dementia Association or Beech Fork Church. The family would like to thank Ashland Community Hospice for their loving care to our hero.
