Bro. Ronald Roy Osburn Sr. of West Union, Ohio passed away Friday, December 17, 2021 at his home.  He was born August 1, 1948 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Roy E Osburn and Leoma Belle Davis.  In 1985 he was united in marriage to Gurdie Mae Osburn who survives.  Also surviving are his sons, Ronald Roy (Julie) Osburn Jr. of Rarden, Ohio, Darren Ray (Angie) Osburn of Sabina, Ohio and Matthew Loren Osburn of Peebles, Ohio; daughters, Angela Kay (Richard) Jordan of Piketon, Ohio, Joan Elizabeth (David) White of Peebles and Kimberly Darlene (Frank) Hamilton of Rarden; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; the mother of his children, Marlena Miller Osburn of Peebles; and sisters, Bernice O'Bryant of Greenfield, Ohio and Helen Free of Mason, Ohio.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Gary Dean Osburn Sr. and John Evans; and sisters, Linda Dixon, Janet Smith and Judy Thornberry.

Ronald retired from Ohio Operating Engineers Local #18.  He was also an evangelist for many years and pastor of many churches including Camp Creek, Rocky Fork, Peach Mountain, Young's and Cedar Mills.

The family extends a special thank you to Hospice of Hope and his neighbors for the care they provided.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, Decmeber 23, 2021 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway with Tom Little officiating.  Burial will follow in Youngs Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Wednesday, December 22 at the funeral home.
