Rose Marie Elkins, 68, of Portsmouth, Ohio passed away on Friday, July 2, 2021 at her residence.  She was born November 10, 1952 in Dearborn, Michigan daughter of the late Ray S. and Mary Maddeline Garrison Roberts.  On November 15, 1968 Rose was united in marriage to Theodore Franklin Elkins Sr. who preceded her in death on August 5, 1998.  She is survived by a daughter Jacintha Marie Davis of Dublin, Georgia; three grandchildren, Eric Petersen, Tika Johns and Virginia Petersen; seven great grandchildren, and a sister, Mona Lee Bayless of Texarkana, Texas.  In addition to her parents, and husband, Rose was preceded in death by a son Theodore Franklin Elkins, Jr. and her twin brother, Ray S. Roberts Jr.

Rose was a homemaker and was a member of Stoney Run Tabernacle. Over the years she welcomed several people into her home who became her extended family and affectionately called her "Mom".

Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway, Ohio with Pastor Danny Thompson officiating  Burial will follow in Smith Hill Cemetery in Hatch, Ohio.  Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home on Friday.
