Ruby Grace Cassidy McClurg, 97, of Otway, Ohio passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at home.  She was born April 22, 1925 in Lewis County, Kentucky daughter of the late William Owen and Hannah Pauline Harrison Cassidy.  On April 9, 1943 she was united in marriage to William Edmund McClurg who preceded her in death on July 31, 1968.  Surviving are her children, Pauletta M. Adams of Otway, Ronald Dale (Linda) McClurg of Lucasville, William "Bill" E. (Dreama) McClurg II of Proctorville, Charles "Chuck" Eugene (Sonya Phillips) McClurg of West Portsmouth and Connie Frances (Fredrick) Mick of Jackson; fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and a brother, Donald O. Cassidy of Fleming County, Kentucky.  In addition to her parents and husband, Ruby was preceded in death by a sister, June Argo, and two brothers, William C. and H. Eugene Cassidy.

Ruby worked at Martings, William Shoe Factory, Home Care and sold Avon.  She also attended Oswego Community Church.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway with Pastor Danny Powell officiating.  Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace, Ohio.  Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
