Ruby Mean Jean Claytor, 90, of Waverly, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021 at the Pavilion at Piketon.  She was born on March 20, 1931 in Cynthiana, Kentucky to the late Robert Roberts and Sudie (Jim) Fooks Funk.  Surviving are her children; Sharon (Cliff) Minnix of Chillicothe, Portia Bryant of Waverly, Tim (Marilyn) Claytor of Chillicothe and Brenda Howard of Waverly ; 14 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents Jean was preceded in death by her first husband, Claude Claytor; granddaughter, Timberly Claytor; son-in-law, John Bryant and last love Jack Cox.

Jean was a bricklayer she retired from the Waverly Eagles after working for 20 years.  During her employment as a bricklayer, she layed the walk way at Ohio University Athens.  She was also the first woman in the brick layers union.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the Waverly Eagles.
