Ruth Evelyn Burns, 83, of Grove City, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025 at London Health & Rehabilitation Center in London, Ohio.  She was born on October 1, 1941 in Peebles to the late Raymond Burns and Nora Freeze.  Surviving are her children; Randy (Linda) Rowe of Grove City, Sheila (Reece) Sexton of Mount Sterling and Kevin (Danielle Brooks) Rowe of Grove City; grandchildren, Gabrielle Rowe, Kevin Rowe, Jr., Kenzie Rowe, Terry Sexton, Jonathan Sexton and Jessica Hartley; great grandchildren, Emily Brannan, Julia Sexton, Robert Hartley, Anthony Hartley, Alexis Sexton, Alyssa Sexton and Alanna Sexton and siblings; Russell Burns, Larry Burns, Jerry Burns, Roger Burns, Wanda Warren and Sharon Shields.  In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her siblings; Donald Burns, Leroy Burns, Floyd "Frog" Burns, Marvin Burns, Ralph Burns, Clarence Burns, Mary Short, Pearline Williams, Violet Lynch and Mabel Thompson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway with Keith Parsons officiating.  Burial will follow in Lucasville Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
