Ruth Durham Ferrell, 66, of Piketon passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020 at the Pavilion in Piketon.  She was born on August 15, 1953 in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Paul Henize and Florine (Knisley) Durham.  On October 21, 2013 she married Bruce Edward Ferrell who preceded her in death on April 26, 2015.  Ruth is survived by three brothers; Paul Thomas (Robin) Durham of Piketon, Ohio, Vernon Timothy (Elaine) Durham of Waverly, Ohio and Wade James Durham of Londonderry, Ohio; two sisters, Eileen Cutlip of Piketon and Jane (Joseph) Reese of Richmond Dale, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Joyce (Larry) Jordan and Brenda Howard all of Richmond Dale; father-in-law, Ralph Ferrell of Richmond Dale; brother-in-law, Ralph Ferrell Jr. of Chillicothe, Ohio; stepson, Brian Ferrell and stepdaughter, Amber Ferrell both of Adams County, Ohio; several nieces and nephews  and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by her sister Nancy Elizabeth Holt.

Ruth was a counselor for the Pike County Recovery Council.

Family will receive friends at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2020.  Private Burial will be held at a later date.
