Sylvia Jo-Ann Boggs (AKA Electrice Delight, Samantha, Jody, Jo, Mrytle Kadiddle Hopper) was born in Chamberlain South Dakota July 4th, 1938.

How did a lady from the prairies meet an Appalachian Farm Boy Robert Boggs leave her beloved state and become an Ohio State Football fan?

Before she became a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, she was known throughout South Dakota for her beautiful singing voice. On a summer trip to LA she auditioned with Dakota native Lawrence Welk and won the audition to perform with the talented band leader. Her parents, Henry Christian Jensen and Emma Wooledge Jensen, believing she was too young, denied her this opportunity but it didn't stop her wonderful singing voice and even in the last few days she was singing Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Old Oak Tree which we believe was her way of telling us "I'm comin' home, I've done my time"

When my sister Robin was diagnosed with Lupus, she made the heart aching decision to leave her other children (Cristy (Frank), Robert and Jon (Le-Ann)) home and live for two years in Cincinnati Children Hospital so she was not alone. Only with her strength in God and prayer could she endure. In leu of flowers, we would like donations to the Lupus Foundation of America.

Though she was there for the infamous cookie debacle of 2014 (and yes this is the 3rd obituary we have mentioned in so continuing the trend see anyone with a Boggs-McQuay name), we still fondly remember the homemade brownie trend (not what you think!)

When she became President of Martha Rebekah Lodge #22, we laughed along with her as we crowned her the "Grand Pooba" of the order. And contrary to what you heard, we did not make her grandchildren Erin (George), Ryan (Katie), Adam, Zachary, Morgan, Daniel (Abby), Stacia (Christopher) and Madison (Zach) which she loved equally and dearly and great grandchildren, Brion, Braden, Aiden, Jacob, Marleigh, Noah, Jonah, Elijah, Joseph, Paxton, Payton, Gabriel, Evan and Braxton kneel before her. We left that to the great- great grandchild Hendrix!

She loved her many nieces and nephews across the states and always sent out love and birthday wishes, what a memory.

We were blessed when she found her soul mate Herb Keller who loving took care of her and protected her for over 20 years. Through her heartache and pain, she always smiled and showed love, just ask they many people she touched and was special in her heart, Big Brion, Jackie, Mary, Jo-Ann, Gary and all her doctors and nurses through the decades especially the wonderful family at Hopeton Village. Always a song in her heart and singing in St Paul's Choir and with special accompaniments prepared by Joy we will always remember her voice.

Her faith and strength still endured and was needed when her oldest son Robert left to be with our sister in heaven.

She loved flowers and bright colors, she was patriotic (4th of July baby) and sparkle. Please join us this Thursday November 14th at St Paul's Episcopal 33 E Main St Chillicothe, Ohio. Viewing at 11:00 and Funeral at noon. Wear your bright happy outfit in her memory.
